Description of Significance HOME OF DR. JOSEPH M. THOMPSON, PROMINET CHEROKEE PHYSICIAN. CONSTRUCTED FOR DR. THOMPSON BY HIS FATHER, JOHNSON THOMPSON, AS A GIFT. IT IS A T-PLAN, TWO STORY HOUSE WITH A RAISED STONE FOUNDATION. THE HOUSE FEATURES A LARGE BAY WINDOW WITH COLORED GLASS ON THE NORTH WING, CLIPPED GABLES WITH BRACKETED EAVES, AND DECORATIVE SHINGLE AND STICK WORK IN THE GABLES.
